Hila Baggio, soprano, was born in Israel. She was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera studio and performed many roles with the Israeli Opera. She appeared as soloist with almost all Israeli orchestras. She performed Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Gepopo/Venus in Le Grand Macabre (Ligeti) and Musetta in La boheme (Puccini) at the Dresden Opera, Frasquita in Carmen (Bizet) at the Palermo Opera, Oscar in Un ballo in Maschera (Verdi) in Nancy, Luxemburg, Nantes and Rennes, Giulia in La scala di seta (Rossini) and the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, the title role in The Cunning Little vixen (Janacek) in Bergen, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach) in Mecklenburg, Pierrot Lunaire (Schonberg) in Berlin an more. She performed as a soloist with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma, The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, The Valencia Orchestra, the Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and others. She received numerous awards and scholarships including the Rosenblum Award, the AICF scholarships as well as the Basser and Grabov scholarships.
