Cilluffo Francesco, conductor
Francesco Cilluffo was born in Italy. In the season of 14-15 he opened the Maggio Musicale in Florence conducting Il campiello (Wolf-Ferrari). Other recent operas he conducted include Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Der Konig Kandaules (Zemlinsky) in Palermo, Il trovatore (Verdi) in Milan and Como, L’Arlesiana (Cilea) in Jesi, Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) in Sassari, Tancredi (Rossini) in Brescia, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) in Genoa, L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti) in Parma and Modena and many other operas. He conducts orchestras in concerts all over the world including in Russia, Chile, Italy and other countries. He is also a composer whose opera Il caso Mortara premiered in New York in 2010.
