Abel Yves, conductor
Yves Abel, conductor, was born in France. He conducts regularly in all the leading opera houses around the world including the Metropolitan in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper, La Scala in Milan and the opera houses of Paris, Chicago, San Francisco, Munich, Pesaro, Glyndebourne, Naples, Bologna, Genova, Monte Carlo, Lisbon, Tokyo and many others. His wide operatic repertoire includes La Fille du Regiment (Donizetti), Giovanna d’arco, La traviata, Otello, Falstaff (Verdi), Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach), Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Manon, Thais, Werther (Massenet), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck) and many others. He also works regularly with numerous leading symphony orchestras around the world including those of San Francisco, Rotterdam, Lyon, Toronto, Montreal and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
