    Shachar Lavi, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. Her operatic repertoire includes Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, Donna Elvira and Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Second Lady in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Tisbe in La Cenerentola, Corina and Maddalena in Il viaggio a Reims (Rossini), Romeo in I Capuleti ed in Montecchi (Bellini), Dido in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Hansel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Varvara in Katya Kabanova (Janacek), Nancy in Albert Herring (Britten), Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Maddalena in Rigoletto (Verdi), Fatima in Oberon (Weber), Mitridate in Farnace (Porpora) and more. She is a member of the ensemble of the Mannheim Opera House where she performs regularly as well as in the opera houses of Salzburg, Ludwigsburg, Kaiserslautern, Schwetzingen, Bologna, Ludwigshafen, Pesaro, Heidelberg and others. She received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Israel Vocal Arts Institute and the Ronen Foundation. She was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included Romeo in I Capuleti ed i Montecchi (Bellini), the title role in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and others.
