Katharina Talbach was born in Germany. She has directed a wide range of theatre plays and operas in opera houses and theatre companies in Germany and abroad including those of Berlin, Koln, Bochum, Erfurt, Dresden, Potsdam, Munich, Hamburg, Rostock, as well as Lisbon, Zurich, Paris, Basel and others. The many operas she directed include Rigoletto (Verdi), Die Zauberflote, Don Giovanni (Mozart), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Fidelio (Beethoven), Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), The Cunning Little Vixen, Jenufa (Janacek), Salome (R. Strauss) and many others.
