Petersen Ann, soprano
Ann Petersen, soprano, was born in Denmark. Her repertoire includes Isolde in Tristan und Isolde, Senta in Der fliegende Hollander, Elisabeth in Tannhauser, Elsa in Lohengrin, Freia in Das Rheingold (Wagner), the Empress in Die Frau ohne Schatten, the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, the title role in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Desdemona in Otello (Verdi), Donna Anna in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Marietta in Die tote Stadt (Korngold), Leonore in Fidelio (Beethoven) and many other roles. She also has a wide orchestral repertoire. She performs regularly at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala in Milan and in the opera houses of Copenhagen, Welsh National Opera, Turin, Orange, Graz, Wiesbaden, Paris, Berlin, Lyon, Buenos Aires and others. This is her first performance with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra and with the Israeli Opera.
