Ben-Josef Karin, conductor
Karin Ben-Josef was born in Israel. She is the music director of the Ben-Dorit Symphony Orchestra in Israel and was the conductor in residence of the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva. She has conducted numerous orchestras in Israel and abroad including the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Oxford Philomusica, Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Raanana Symphonette and others. She conducted the Jerusalem-Weimer Symphony Orchestra on a concert tour in Germany and the Barenboim-Said Conservatory Orchestra on a concert tour in the USA. She conducted and recorded several contemporary pieces including Akeda (Arik Shapira). She was a prize winner in the Haydn Conducting Competition and received the AICF scholarships. She has worked as an assistant conductor at the Israeli Opera.
