Makláry László, conductor and music director
László Makláry was born in Hungary. His operetta repertoire includes Die lustige Witwe, Graf von Luxemburg, Land das Lächelns (Lehár), Gräfin Mariza (Kálmán), Die Fledermaus, Eine Nacht in Venedig and Wiener Blut (J.Strauss). The Music Director of the Budapest Operetta Theatre also conducts operas and musicals such as Romeo und Julia, Mozart, Elisabeth, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and others. He regularly conducts at the Hungarian State Opera, as well as concerts all around the world with the Symphony Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
