Surian Giorgio, bass
Giorgio Surian was born in Croatia. His extensive repertoire includes Banquo in Macbeth, Zaccaria in Nabucco, the title role in Attila, Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Mefistofele in Faust (Gounod), Escamillo in Carmen (Bizet), Seneca in L'incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), Scarpia in Tosca (Puccini), the four villains in Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Offenbach), Rocco in Fidelio (Beethoven) and many other roles. He performs regularly at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, La Scala in Milan, the Vienna Staatsoper, the arena di Verona and the opera houses of Palermo, Barcelona, Venice, Paris, Florence, Turin, Naples, Zurich, Bologna, Lisbon, Rome, Toulouse, Monte Carlo, Madrid, Nice, Frankfurt and many others.
