Aleksander-Kmiec Katarzyna, choreographer
Katarzyna Aleksander-Kmiec, choreographer, was born in Poland. She graduated from the Barat College, Lake Forest, Illinois in the USA. She is teaching as well as choreographing in Poland and abroad. She has received many awards for her work as choreographer including the Brown Cross of Merit from the President of Poland. Among her major works are choreographies for the operas Carmen (Bizet), Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Don Giovanni (Mozart), The Fairy Queen (Purcell), the musicals Rent, Jekyll & Hyde and many other productions including The Prince and the Pauper and The Wizard of Oz.
