    Evgeny Samoilov, conductor was born in Russia. He worked as a guest conductor with symphony orchestras and opera companies in Russia, Moldavia, Germany and Turkey. He was a conductor at the Rostov-on-Don Philharmonic Orchestra and the Moscow State Maly Symphony Orchestra. Since 1993, he has worked in the Novaya Opera, where he has conducted many operas including I due Foscari, Nabucco (Verdi), The Demon (Rubinstein), The Snow Maiden (Rimsky-Korsakov), Iolanta (Tchaikovsky) and others. His repertoire also includes Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Norma (Bellini), Il trovatore, Rigoletto (Verdi), Lohengrin (Wagner), Salome (R. Strauss) and many others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
