    Jan Latham-Koenig, conductor was born in the United Kingdom. Since August 2011 he is the Music Director of the Moscow Novaya Opera, and since 2012 also Artistic Director of the Orquesta Filarmónica de la UNAM in Mexico City. His vast operatic repertoire includes Thaïs (Massenet), Il viaggio a Reims (Rossini), I Puritani (Verdi), Lohengrin, Tristan und Isolde (Wagner), Aida, Macbeth (Verdi), La boheme, Turandot (Puccini), Peter Grimes (Britten), Carmen (Bizet), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Jenufa (Janacek), Dialogues des Carmelites (Poulenc) and many others. He conducts in numerous leading international opera houses including the Vienna Staatsoper, as well as Helsinki, Prague, Toronto, Genova, Paris, Copenhagen, Palermo, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires. He conducts symphony orchestras all over the world and was the music director of the Orchestra of Porto, Teatro Massimo in Palermo and both the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg and Opéra national du Rhin. At the Israeli Opera he conducted Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini).
