    Mikhail Kazakov was born in Russia. His repertoire includes the leading role and Pimen in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), King Rene in Iolanta (Tchaikovsky), Konchak in Prince Igor (Borodin), Banquo in Macbeth, The Grand Inquisitor and Phillipo in Don Carlo, Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Zaccaria in Nabucco (Verdi), Miller in Rusalka (Dargomyzhsky), the leading role and Old Gypsy in Aleko (Rachmaninoff), the title role in Mefistofele (Boito), the Commendatore in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Colline in La boheme (Puccini) and many others. He performs in all Russian opera houses as well as in Amsterdam, Montreal, Athens, the Vienna Staatsoper, Dresden, Washington, Dusseldorf and many others. At the Israeli Opera he performed Zaccaria in Nabucco (Verdi).
