Ruskela Kimmo, revival lighting designer
Kimmo Ruskela, revival lighting designer, was born in Finland. Since 2007 he is the head of the lighting department at the Finnish National Opera. He has designed lighting for numerous opera and ballet productions at the Finnish National Opera, the Svaonlinna Festival and opera houses all over the world. Productions include Aida, Macbeth, Don Carlo (Verdi), Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Nixon in china (Adams), Salome (R. Strauss), The Bartered Bride (Smetana), Fidelio (Beethoven), Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Wozzeck (Berg) and many others.
