Christensen Maren, set & costume designer
Maren Christensen, set and costume designer, was born in Germany. She graduated as a set and costume designer from the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg. She has been a freelance set and costume designer for opera, theatre and film since 1979 and Professor of Costume Design in Hannover since 1994. Her many opera designs include Wozzeck (Berg), Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Duke Bluebeard's Castle (Bartok), Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Il trovatore (Verdi), Lohengrin (Wagner), Werther (Massenet), Fidelio (Beethoven) and many others. This is her first work for the Israeli Opera.
