Yevgeni Akimov was born in Russia. His repertoire includes Bayan in Ruslan and Ludmila, Indian Merchant in Sadko (Rimsky-Korsakov), Vladimir in Prince Igor (Borodin), Lensky in Yevgeni Onegin, Andrei in Mazeppa (Tchaikovsky), Prince Sinodal in The Demon (Rubinstein), Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Alfredo in La traviata (Verdi), Froh in Das Rheingold (Wagner), Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti) and many others. He performs regularly at the Mariinsky, Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the opera houses of Paris, San Francisco, Rome, Los Angeles, Turin and many others.
