Madeleine Boyd. set and costume designer, was born in the UK. She designed costumes and sets for numerous dance, theatre, music and opera productions. Her opera designs include: A Quiet Place (Bernstein), Powder Her Face (Ades), Albert Herring (Britten), Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, Roberto Devereux (Donizetti), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Fidelio (Beethoven), La Cenerentola, Semiramide (Rossini), Andrea Chenier (Giordano), The Voyage of Edgar Allan Poe (Argento), Rigoletto, La traviata (Verdi) and others. She has worked at the opera houses of Copenhagen, Florence, Madrid, Martina Franca, Longborough, Turin, Heidelberg, Braunschweig, Welsh National Opera, Opera North and others.
