    Mikhail Agafonov, tenor, was born in Russia. His repertoire includes the title role in Ernani and Don Carlo, Radames in Aida, Alvaro in La forza del destino, Rodolfo in Luisa Miller, Manrico in Il trovatore, Gustavo in Un ballo in maschera (Verdi), Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Calaf in Turandot (Puccini), Grigori/Dimitri in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), the title role in Andrea Chenier (Giordano) and many others. He performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Vienna Staatsoper and Volksoper and the opera houses of Moscow, Toronto, Miami, Berlin, Kassel, Dresden, Munich, Tokyo, Helsinki and Mannheim where he is still a member of the ensemble. At the Israeli Opera he performed Pollione in Norma (Bellini).
