Gerberon Magali, costume designer
Magali Gerberon, costume designer, was born in Germany. She studied at the Academy of Arts in Enschede (the Netherlands) and fashion design at Studio Bercot in Paris. She started working as a fashion designer and since 1995 she began working in the opera house and theatre of Munster. In 2000 she started working as a freelancer for opera, musical, theatre and film productions. Her opera designs include Semele (Handel) in Glasgow, Don Giovanni (Mozart) in Varna, Die tote Stadt (Kornglod) in Strassbourg and Paris, Il trittico (Puccini) in Maastricht, La Cenerentola (Rossini) in Koln, Carmen (Bizet) in Kiel as well as Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), The Rocky Horror Show, Miss Saigon and The Man of La Mancha. She designed costumes for Aufsteig und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (Weill) at the Israeli Opera.
