Daniela Callegari, conductor, was born in Italy, He is the principal conductor of the opera Nice. He conducts regularly in all leading opera houses around the world including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, La Scala in Milano and the opera houses of Barcelona, Venice, Moscow, Tokyo, Monte Carlo, Parma, Munich, Hamburg, Dresden, Budapest, Washington, Stuttgart, Geneva, Oslo, San Francisco, Berlin, Paris, San Diego and many others. His opera repertoire includes Tosca, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, La boheme (Puccini), Il trovatore, Otello, Falstaff, Macbeth, Ernani (Verdi), Carmen (Bizet), Mefistofele (Boito), Il pirata, Norma (Bellini), Maria Stuarda (Donizetti), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), La Gioconda (Ponchielli) and others. At the Israeli Opera he conducted Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Rigoletto and Un ballo in maschera (Verdi).
