Chelton Nick, lighting designer
Nick Chelton, lighting designer, was born in England. He has designed lighting for numerous plays and musicals in the West End, at the RSC, the National Theatre and the Almeida as well as the Abbey Theatre Dublin. At the ENO he has lit over 20 productions including Rusalka (Dvorak), Le nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflote (Mozart). For the Royal Opera House Covent Garden he designed lighting for The Rake's Progress (Stravinsky), Macbeth (Verdi), Samson et Dalila (Saint-Saens), Samson (Handel), Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many others. He also designed opera productions for opera houses in Paris, Lyon, Geneva, Monte Carlo, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Turin, Venice, Frankfurt, Berlin, Sydney, Chicago and Houston. At the Israeli Opera he designed lighting for Don Giovanni (Mozart).
