Zurabishvili Zurab, tenor
Zurab Zurabishvili, tenor, was born in Georgia. His repertoire includes Rodlofo in La boheme, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Cavardossi in Tosca, Calaf in Turandot (Puccini), the title role in Andrea Chenier (Giordano), in Lohengrin (Wagner) and in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach), Don Jose in Carmen (Bizet), Alfredo in La traviata (Verdi), Pollione in Norma (Bellini), Lenski in Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many other roles. He is a member of the opera house in Essen and performs also in the opera houses of Athens, Insbruck, Mannheim, Munich, Copenhagen, Tbilsi, Turin, Weimar and many others. This is his first performance with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA and with the Israeli Opera.
