Edoardo Sanchi, set designer, was born in Italy. After graduating from the Arts Academy in Milan, he worked with Margherita Palli, Luca Ronconi, Antonio Calenda, Jérôme Savary and Franco Zeffirelli. His opera designs includes Macbeth (Verdi), Ascanio in Alba (Mozart), Tannhauser (Wagner), Il tempo sospeso del Volo (Nicola Santi), Il trovatore (Verdi), Die lustige Witwe (Lehar), Tosca (Puccini) an many other productions. His productions were presented at La Scala and the opera houses of Ravenna, Bologna, Trieste, Liege, Erfurt, Avignon, Genova, Naples, Florence and many others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
