Damiani Davide, baritone

Davide Damiani, baritone, was born in Italy. He started studying conducting and made his debut as a singer in the title role of Don Giovanni (Mozart) at the Israeli Opera in 1993. His wide repertoire includes Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Marcello in La boheme, Lescaut in Manon Lescaut (Puccini), Belcore in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Traquinus in The Rape of Lucretia, Balstrode in Peter Grimes (Britten), Nick Shadow in The Rake's Progress (Stravinsky), Germont in La traviata, Ford in Falstaff, the title role in Rigoletto and in Nabucco, Amonasro in Aida (Verdi), the Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Riccardo in I puritani (Bellini), Escamillo in Carmen (Bizet) and others. He was a member of the Vienna Staatsoper and also performs regularly at the opera houses of Naples, Florence, Genova, Catania, Modena, Turin, Toronto, Palm Beach, Verona, Palermo, Tokyo, Berlin, Cagliari, Bologna, Trieste, Wexford, Milan, Kiev and others. At the Israeli Opera he also performed Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti).
