Julio Galan, set designer, was born in Spain. His many opera productions include Tosca (Puccini), Carmen (Bizet), I Capuleti ed I Montecchi (Bellini), Idomeneo (Mozart), Don Pasquale (Donizetti) and others. He has worked at the opera houses of Las Palmas, Oviedo and many others in Spain and other countries. He has died in 2003. At the Israeli Opera he designed Le Fille du Regiment (Donizetti).
