Maria Agresta was born in Italy. Her repertoire includes Mimi in La boheme (Puccini), Leonora in Il trovatore (Verdi), Micaela in Carmen (Bizet), Desdemona in Otello (Verdi), Odabella in Attila (Verdi) and other roles including Rosina in Il barbeire di Siviglia (Rossini) at the beginning of her singing career as a mezzo soprano. Her repertoire also includes Amelia in Simon Boccangera and Helene in I vespri Siciliani (Verdi). She performed in the opera houses of Spoleto, Messina, Nancy, Macerata, Busseto, South Korea and others as well as in concert halls in New York, Helsinki, Phliadelphia, St. Petersburg, Qatar and others.
