Ambrogio Maestri, baritone, was born in Italy. His repertoire includes the title role in Falstaff, Rigoletto, Germont in La traviata, Conte di Luna in Il trovatore, Rolando in La battaglia de Legnano, Renato in Un ballo in maschera, the title role in Nabucco and in Simon Boccanegra, Amonasro in Aida, Iago in Otello (Verdi), Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Alfio in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) and many other roles. He appears regularly at La Scala, the Arena die Verona, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera and the opera houses of Washington, Tokyo, Berlin, Trieste, Venice, Parma, Barcelona, Baden-Baden, Madrid, Naples, Munich, Lisbon, Hamburg, Paris, San Francisco and many others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
