Ildiko Komlosi, mezzo soprano, was born in Hungary. Her wide repertoire includes Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena, Sara in Roberto Devereux, Leonora in La Favorita, Maffio Orsini in Lucrezia Borgia (Donizetti), Laura in La Gioconda (Ponchielli), Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier and the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Judith in Duke Bluebeard's Castle (Bartok), Amneris in Aida, Eboli in Don Carlo, Preziossila in La froza del destino (Verdi), Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Principessa di Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur (Cilea), Charlotte in Werther (Massenet), the title role in Carmen (Bizet), Venus in Tannhauser (Wagner), Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni (Mozart) and many others. She performs regularly at the Metropolitan Opera, the Vienna Staatsoper, La Scala, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Arena di Verona and the opera houses of Houston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Bregenz, San Francisco, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Naples, Catania, Mexico City, Santiago di Chile, Palermo, Barcelona, Turin, Frankfurt, Genova, Florence, Brussels, Dresden, Paris, Berlin and others. This is her Israeli Opera debut.
