Giacomini Giuseppe, tenor
Giuseppe Giacomini, tenor, was born in Italy. His vast repertoire includes the title role in Otello, Radames in Aida, Alvaro in La forza del destino, Manrico in Il trovatore (Verdi), the title role in Andrea Chénier (Giordano), Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Calaf in Turandot, Dick Johnson in La fanciulla del West (Puccini), Canio in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Don José in Carmen (Bizet), Samson in Samson et Dalila (Saint-Saëns), Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) and many others. He has made numerous CD and DVD recordings. He performs regularly at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, La Scala, the Vienna Staatsoper as well as the opera houses of Palermo, Zurich, Munich, Oslo, Florence, Florence, Barcelona, Rome, Verona, Tokyo, Catania, Seoul, Helsinki, St. Petersburg and many others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
