Xolela Sixaba, baritone, was born in South Africa. He has sung the role of Porgy in Porgy and Bess (Gershwin) at the Festival Theatre in Edenburg, the Royal Festival Hall and at the Wales Millennium Centre. Other roles in his repertoire include Joe in Show Boat (Kern), Yamadori in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Masetto in Don Giovanni (Mozart), the Mandarin in Turandot (Puccini), Zuniga in Carmen (Bizet), the King in Aida (Verdi) and others. He performs in South Africa and has toured internationally with the Cape Town Opera. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
