Pier Paolo Bisleri, set designer, was born in Italy. He designed many theatre and opera productions in Italy and abroad. Among the many opera productions he designed are Norma (Bellini), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Attila (Verdi), Madama Butterfly, La boheme (Puccini), Il trovatore (Verdi), Dido & Aeneas (Purcell), La sonnambula (Bellini), Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Carmen (Bizet), Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Iris (Mascagni) and many other operas in operas houses all over the world including Florence, Trieste, Catania, Monte Carlo, Venice, Naples, Turin, Baltimore, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and many others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
