Gianni Pollini, lighting designer, was born in Italy. He has designed lighting for many theatre, opera and dance productions all over the world. His opera repertoire includes A Midsummer Night's Dream (Britten), Les Troyens (Berlioz), Pierrot Lunaire (Schoenberg) Rigoletto (Verdi), L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti) and other productions including work with many contemporary dance companies in Italy. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
