Christine Crouse, director, was born in South Africa. She is the Artistic Director of Cape Town Opera. She has directed opera extensively in the major theatres in South Africa as well as abroad. She directed many opera productions including Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Aida (Verdi), Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Il trittico (Puccini), Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Der fliegende Hollander (Wagner), La traviata, Nabucco (Verdi), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), La bohème (Puccini) and many others. This is her Israeli Opera debut.
