Monica Minarelli, mezzo-soprano
was born in Italy. Her repertoire includes the title role in Carmen (Bizet), Suzuki in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), the title role in Cherubin (Massenet), Cornelia in Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Handel), Adalgisa in Norma (Bellini), the Composer in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Fenena in Nabucco (Verdi), Romeo in I Capuleti ed i Montecchi (Bellini), Maddelon in Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Azucena in Il trovatore, Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera (Verdi) and many others. She performs at the opera houses of Naples, Catania, Athens, Parma, Turin, Washington, Genova, Bologna, Rome, Kiev, Palermo, Vienna, Zurich, Verona and many others. At the Israeli Opera she performed Lola in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni).
