Matorin Vladimir, bass
Matorin Vladimir, bass
was born in Russia. He won prizes at the International Vocal Competition in Geneva and the Glinka Competition and was a member of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow with whom he toured worldwide. Later on he became a member of the Bolshoi Opera. His repertoire of over 50 roles includes the title role and Pimen in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), Susanin in A Life for the Tsar (Glinka), Gremin in Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) and many others. He performs regularly in the opera houses of Russia as well as at the Metropolitan in New York, Chicago, Houston, Lyon, Paris, Madrid, Venice, Geneva, London and many others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
