Evgenia Afanasieva was born in Russia. Her repertoire includes the Swan in The Tale of Tsar Saltan (Rimsky-Korsakov), Adele in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Pannochka in May Night (Rimsky-Korsakov), Sophie in Werther (Massenet), Giannetta in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Musetta in La boheme  (Puccini) and others.
