During his studies, he worked at Klaip\u0117da State Musical Theatre (2014-2019), where he sang several major baritone roles. In 2016-2017 he participated in the LNOBT Opera Trainee Programme.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Since 2019 he has been an ensemble member of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In 2021, he portrayed Valentin in <strong>Faust<\/strong> (Gounod) and Faninal in <strong>Der Rosenkavalier<\/strong> (R. Strauss), in D. Michieletto&#8217;s production at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2019 he performed roles including Marcello in <strong>La boh\u00e8me<\/strong> (Puccini), the title role in <strong>Don Giovanni<\/strong> (Mozart) at Klaip\u0117da State Musical Theatre, Maximilian in <strong>Candide<\/strong> (Bernstein), and Mr. Astley in <strong>The Gambler<\/strong> (Prokofiev) in V. Barkhatov&#8217;s production at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Other performances include Eisenstein in <strong>Die Fledermaus<\/strong> (J. Strauss, 2019), Ping in <strong>Turandot<\/strong> (Puccini, 2019) in R. Wilson&#8217;s production, and Figaro in <strong>Il barbiere di Siviglia<\/strong> (Rossini, 2018) at Klaip\u0117da State Musical Theatre. Earlier roles include Count Danilo in <strong>Die lustige Witwe<\/strong> (Leh\u00e1r, 2017), Silvio in <strong>I Pagliacci<\/strong> (Leoncavallo, 2017), Robert in <strong>Iolanta<\/strong> (Tchaikovsky, 2017), Belcore in <strong>L&#8217;elisir d&#8217;amore<\/strong> (Donizetti, 2016), and Schaunard in <strong>La boh\u00e8me<\/strong> (Puccini, 2016), all at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Steponas Zonys is a laureate of numerous national and Baltic competitions. In 2019 he received the Opera Hope of the Year award at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and the Most Beloved Artist prize, chosen by audience vote, at Klaip\u0117da State Musical Theatre. In 2021 and 2022 he received the Best Opera Singer of the Year award at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
