Recent performances include Dr. Dulcamara in <strong>L&#8217;elisir d&#8217;amore<\/strong> (Donizetti) at Seattle Opera; Enrico VIII in <strong>Anna Bolena<\/strong> (Donizetti) at Opernhaus Z\u00fcrich; the Four Villains in <strong>Les Contes d&#8217;Hoffmann<\/strong> (Offenbach) at Teatro alla Scala; Don Alfonso in <strong>Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/strong> (Mozart) at the Wiener Staatsoper; the title role in <strong>Don Giovanni<\/strong> (Mozart) at Houston Grand Opera; and Basilio in <strong>Il barbiere di Siviglia<\/strong> (Rossini) at Op\u00e9ra National de Paris.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">He created the role of Don Rodrigue in the world premiere of <strong>Le Soulier de satin<\/strong> (Dalbavie) at Op\u00e9ra national de Paris, and has performed roles including Mahomet II in <strong>Le Si\u00e8ge de Corinthe<\/strong> (Rossini), Lorenzo Da Ponte in <strong>The Phoenix<\/strong> (Tarik O&#8217;Regan), and Giorgio in <strong>I Puritani<\/strong> (Bellini).<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">In concert, he has performed under conductors including Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin, Andris Nelsons, Ivan Fischer, Sir Simon Rattle, Gustavo Dudamel, and Riccardo Muti, in repertoire including Beethoven&#8217;s <strong>Symphony No. 9<\/strong> and <strong>Missa Solemnis<\/strong>, <strong>A Survivor from Warsaw<\/strong> (Schoenberg), <strong>Messa da Requiem<\/strong> (Verdi), and works by Rossini, Berlioz, Schumann, Brahms, Haydn, and Bach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">He has given recitals at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw, the Musikverein, and the Edinburgh Festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"ltr\">His discography includes <strong>Don Giovanni<\/strong>, <strong>Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/strong>, and <strong>Le nozze di Figaro<\/strong> (all Mozart), <strong>Rinaldo<\/strong> (Handel), and <strong>Simon Boccanegra<\/strong> (Verdi), as well as <strong>Les Contes d&#8217;Hoffmann<\/strong> (Offenbach), <strong>Agrippina<\/strong> (Handel), <strong>Rom\u00e9o et Juliette<\/strong> (Gounod), and <strong>Le Si\u00e8ge de Corinthe<\/strong> (Rossini).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni has had a career spanning more than 25 years, beginning with his debut with the Vienna Philharmonic at the Salzburg Festival under Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
