Michael Walton, lighting designer, was born in Canada. He designed lighting for theatre production all over Canada especially for the Stratford Festival. His opera credits include Jenufa (Janacek), Albert Herring (Britten), Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Maria Stuarda (Donizetti) and others. His theatre credits include Guys and Dolls, School for Scandal, A Chorus Line, Macbeth, Mamma Mia, Oedipus Rex, The Sound of Music, Educating Rita, Anthony and Cleopatra, King Lear, Hamlet, Mary Poppins, Annie, Othello, The Three Musketeers, Fiddler on the Roof, Venus in Fur, Chimerica and many others.
