Born in Austria. His extensive repertoire includes Don Alfonso and Guglielmo in Thus do they all do (Mozart), Dulcamare in The Elixir of Love (Donizetti), Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro , Papageno in The Magic Flute , Publius in The Mercy of Titus , Mezzo in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Elidoro in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Colina in La Bohème (Puccini), Philobus in King Candaullus (Zemlinsky), the Friar Melitona in The Force of Destiny (Verdi), Brander in The Curse of Faust (Berlioz), Nachtigall in The Meistersinger of Nuremberg (Wagner), Hercules in Elchest (Anton Schweitzer), Nick Shadow in The Fool (Stravinsky) and many other roles. He was a member of the Vienna Volksoper ensemble and also appeared at the opera houses of Bern, Geneva, Ireland, Japan, the Salzburg Festival and many others.
