Shilova Svetlana, mezzo-soprano

Svetlana Shilova was born in Russia. Her repertoire includes Palina in Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky), Marfa in Khovanshchina (Mussorgsky), Iocasta in Oedipus Rex (Stravinsky), Dido in Les Troyens (Berlioz), the Fortune Teller in The Fiery Angel (Prokofiev), Lyubasha in The Tsar’s Bride (Rimsky Korsakov), Marina in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), the title role in Carmen (Bizet) and many other roles. She performed at the Bolshoi as will as in the opera houses on Bonn, Lyon, Kazan, San Diego, Vienna and others.
