Dalia Schaechter was born in Israel and lives in Germany. Her repertoire includes Margaret in Wozzeck (Berg), Amneris in Aida, Eboli in Don Carlo, Azucena in Il trovatore (Verdi), Kundry in Parsifal, Brangane in Tristan und Isolde, Fricka and Waltraute in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Orturd in Lohengrin (Wagner), Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Dulcinée in Don Quichotte (Massenet), Herodias in Salome (R. Strauss) and many other roles. She is a member of the Cologne Opera and performs regularly also in the opera houses of Munich, Zurich, Bologna, Hannover, Weimar, Berlin as well as the Salzburg and Bayreuth festivals.
