Adrian Noble , director, was born in England. He was the artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company where he directed A Doll’s House, The Comedy of Errors, Measure for Measure, King Lear, Henry V, As You Like It, Macbeth, Kissing Keith, The Seagull, Cymbeline and more. He has also directed in theatres all over the world including the musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in London. His many opera productions include Alcina , Cæsarses (Handel), The Capulet and the Montague (Bellini), The Magic Flute , The Marriage of Figaro , Don Giovanni , So Do They All (Mozart), Carmen (Bizet), Macbeth (Verdi), Hansel and Gretel (Humperdink), The Homecoming of Ulysses (Monteverdi) and more. He has worked at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, La Scala in Milan, and the opera houses of Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Glyndebourne, Paris, and more. This is his first work in the Israeli opera.
