Shirit Lee Weiss , director, was born in Israel. She directed the musicals Greta and the Space Race (Yonatan Canaan and Valeria Zelikovsky) and Goldie Bras (Aviv Koren) at the Bat Yam Musical Festival, where they won first prize in 2014 and 2015. She directed The Magic Flute (Mozart), Trouble in Tahiti (Bernstein) and The Telephone (Menotti) at the Haifa Symphony Orchestra. She directed The Book of Seville (Rossini) and The Bat (J. Strauss) at the Israeli Sinfonietta in Beersheba. At the Buchman Mehta School at Tel Aviv University, she directed The Merry Widow (Lehar) and The Bat (J. Strauss). At the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, she directed The Pretender (Mozart) and Giulio Savino (Sarti). She directed Be-te-Klan (Offenbach) and the new opera Mothers (David Zeva) at the Tel Aviv Opera Fringe Center. She directed Piero the Sleepwalker (Schoenberg) for the Jerusalem International Chamber Music Festival. Abroad, she directed Comedy on the Bridge (Martino), In the Heart of the Valley (Weill) and Don Pasquale (Donizetti). She directed many productions at the Israeli Opera’s Meitar Opera Studio, including Don Pasquale (Donizetti), The Medium and the Telephone (Menotti), Werther (Messena), The Bat (J. Strauss), The Story of Romeo and Juliet (Bellini, Gounod, Bernstein), Don Giovanni , So They Do and The Impresario (Mozart).
