Ana Garay, costume designer, was born in Spain where she studied at the University of the Basque Country and the Barcelona School of Dramatic Art. She is one of the leading sets and costume designers in Spain where she worked with many theatre dance and opera companies. She is also a teacher of scenography. Her opera designs credits for opera house all over the world include Carmen (Bizet), Otello (Verdi), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Samson et Dalila (Saint-Saens), Eine florentinische Tragodie (Zemlinsky), La Voix Humaine (Poulenc) and others. She has worked at the opera houses of Geneva, Madrid, Sevilla, Avignon, Parelada, Bilbao and others. She has won numerous prestigious prizes for her work.
