Funkin Vladimir, conductor

Born in Russia. House conductor of the Helicon Opera House. Conducted the Symphony Orchestra of the USSR Ministry of Culture, served as chief conductor of the Yaroslavl Orchestra, conducted the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and chief conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. Has extensive experience as a guest conductor, among others, with the Western Australian, Queensland and Krakow Symphony Orchestras. Was chief conductor of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Opera House in Moscow.
