Danilova Maria, costume designer

Maria Danilova, costume designer, was born in Russia. She has designed costumes for numerous theatre and opera productions for all leading theatre and opera companies in Russia including King Lear, The Forest, The Gambler (Prokofiev), The Snow Maiden (Rimsky Korsakov), Yevgeni Onegin, Pique Dam (Tchaikovsky), La traviata, Falstaff (Verdi), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), the Nose (Shostakovich), Jenufa (Janacek), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo) and others. She has also worked with theatre and opera companies in Germany, The Czech Republic and France and has received many prestigious awards for her designs. At the Israeli Opera, she designed costumes of Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky) at the Bolshoi tour.
