Gustav Andreassen was born in Norway. His repertoire includes the title role in Duke Bluebeard’s Castle (Bartok), Don Pizzaro and Rocco in Fidelio (Beethoven), Leporello and the Commendatore in Don Giovanni (Mozart), the title role in Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), Ochs in Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Gremin in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra, Padre Guardiano in La forza del destino, Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi) and many more. He performs at the opera houses of Toronto, Austin, Chicago, Boston, Cincinnati, New Orleans, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Antwerp, San Francisco, Glimmerglass, Florida and many others.
