Shrira Rona, mezzo-soprano

Rona Shrira, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. She graduated from the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University. Her operatic repertoire includes Cornelia in Gulio Cesare in Egitto (Handel) and other roles. Her concert repertoire includes works by Berlioz, Mahler, Pergolesi, Vivaldi, Handel, Gubaidolina and more. She received the Leon Nacht, Eli Leon, Tzfunot Tarbut and the Haifa Cultural Foundation scholarships. Rona Shrira is a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire includes the Third Lady in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), the Witch in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Melissa in La liberazione di Ruggiero (Francesca Caccini) and other roles.
