Yacobi Nofar, soprano
Nofar Yacobi was born in Israel. She graduated from the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University. She performed the role of Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss) and performed in Les Noces (Stravinsky) as well as Bachianas Brasileiras (Villa-Lobos) and also performed Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Mozart). She performed in many concerts in a wide operatic and concert repertoire including the soprano solos in the Dvorak Te Deum. She received the AICF and the Buchman-Mehta School of Music scholarships. She performed in many concerts with the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and other ensembles. Nofar Yacobi was a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included the Queen of the Night and Papagena in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), The Sand and the Dew fairies in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Clorinda in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Suor Genovieffa and Suor Osmina in Suor Angelica (Puccini) and other roles.
